The number of mouse clicks / loading times is a minor annoyance.
The shredding of your party if the mandatory path goes through Lion's Arch or Kamadan is inexcusable. I can't fathom how somebody considers this a feature instead of a design flaw.

A good idea would be to have on the 'M' screen, you can like click arrows Left/Right to see the different continents. And they flip through by fading, then you can simply click on it there.

If you had actually read some of the posts, you'd understand it's not the mouseclicks that annoys people, but the loading times.
I have 2 gig ram and a 8800 GTS card, and it still takes ages to load huge port cities like LA or Kamadan, simply because of the large amount of people there and the incessant all/trade spamming. I'd REALLY like to travel to any location I want, thereby skipping the overcrowded port cities.
badly needed and suggested since Factions went live.

Doesn't matter about RAM or Graphics. It's Hard Drive that defines loading time primarily.
I have an 8800GTS and 2GB RAM, and LA/Kamadan/Kaineng/GoA loads in less than a second for me. Click and I'm straight there, even at weekend events when the towns are choc-a-bloc.
Sounds like ya need a new HD :P

Do not worry. There are always some people that vote no regardless of the idea.
They are ruled out when it comes to counting the average voting.
A 99% vs 1% it's like a 100%.
Having to split in Kamadan and then rejoin afte a long while in the Anguish is worse than anything.

Good try, but you're wrong. If this was an off-line game, you'd be right, but since there could be hundreds of random people at any place in the town at any time, doing whatever form of actions, you would need Random Access Memory. Yes, the HD plays a part, mostly for the background and things, and I'm guessing if he has 2 GB RAM and an 8800GTS, he probably has a halfway decent HD. Also, the bus speed on your motherboard plays a big part.

I have another suggestion.
When you click the ship... you will get additionally a list with your 5 most visited outposts (excluding Kamadan, LA, Kaineng and Temple or course).
(If this has already been suggested, then sorry, but I didn't read the 11 pages)

For changed mechanics to avoid splitting the party.
Aside: I don't understand the "I don't like because I want Anet to work on other things" argument. Honestly it isn't up to us to dictate what or how much time they spend on anything. More to the point if it is a quick fix then it will hardly be taking resources away from GW2. Besides GW1 makes a good testing ground for mechanics in GW2.

It's not really the mouseclicks, it's the three loading screens that pisses me off. Oh and in that case isn't everything in the game "just a couple of mouseclicks?"

Not just that:
- Total break in the 'Instant-travel' policy of the game, having to travel to 3 places to get to 1.
- Break in parties when they must separate and join again, with the usual pug leavers and slowdowns due to people getting lost or not knowing what happens and chaos and all.
- Slowdown to those that avoid large towns or usually crowded districts as much as they can due to their System limitations that are still over the highest system requirements show in any GW retail box.
- It's annoying.
That's more than enough.

Yes. This has been a problem ever since Chapter 2 was released. Most people got used to it and it has become routine.

I can see where that would be a problem with PuG's, which I no longer deal with. Organized guild groups: one person goes to destination and maps back to GH, forms party, then transports entire party to destination. Also works with alliance groups.

Again, I don't PuG and use the system stated above to avoid that as much as possible.

Annoying to some, but others manage to do it. Sorry to rain on your parade, but I just don't see it as necessary, and I believe I have the right to disagree with suggestions, even if those that bother to respond do not agree with me.

So... As long as it doesn't concern you, you don't care about it? My, you are really, really selfish.
And why not add this option? District changing has been simplified, so why not map travel?

So now I'm selfish because I have the audacity to disagree with you? Get real!
Please note that I have not made any personal attacks in this thread. Just stated my opinion. I would appreciated it if you would refrain from calling me names. You don't know me at all. I'm actually a very generous person and not at all "selfish".

You are against 'anet wasting time with this', not against the idea, no one can be against the idea because it has no downsides for players.
So, if your point is that 'there are better things to do', you don't have a point, ince that's Anet and only Anet's matter.

You are correct in stating that it has no downside ..... in regards to others that see it as not needed. If ANET is going to devote time to GW, I'd rather see them devote that time to fixing HoM, but that's another topic. And since it is "Anet and only Anet's matter" then neither does this thread have a point, using the same rational.

I've seen, not only this thread but also on others a lot of 'too much work for anet' QQing. Ye, maybe they should retire!!!
This would be very easy, and saves a lot of time since loading into kamadan/la/keaning takes long cause of the trade spam thats usually there

No one is saying Anet devs are old or bored or anything. People say that because they'd rather have GW2 get done better/faster than to have additions added to GW1. I guess you live in a world where every human being has infinite time and resources for any endeavor they wish to undertake.
Basically, its a great idea, that should have been implemented 3 years ago, but it may be to late to do something like this.
Edit: No poll yet? Quit slacking Guru mods!!
